I don’t really recommend using the default launcher to play old Minecraft, some might versions not work correctly. I recommend using betacraft (which is what I use).

i cant play my world, im fine with the ceratin stuff being gone but just crashed instantly. thought it was mods but loaded another world workedd fine, then deleted them and still crashed. do you know how to convert a certain world or am i outta luck? would like to cause 1.20.2 has no mods, just the basic ones

The other videos I had seen about playing in old minecraft versions kept talking about rewriting a world in an older version and it looked really intimidating, so I'm glad to find that starting a new world is actually really simple

What do I do if I want to play before the release version? I remember playing the old versions in 2017, but I think there was an update to where I can't play those versions anymore.
