OMG. That poor Grand Marquis in purple/gold. In my book, it was ruined when it was turned into a Ghetto Cruiser. When they were new, they were so close to the Lincoln Town Car that they were pure class. They truly were a step between the LTD and the Lincoln, leaning closer to the Lincoln - all 3 of which shared a lot of mechanicals.

Oh man, that Mercury by far my favorite on this list, hate to see that one go by the wayside. That happens to be one of favorite eras of the Mercury Grand Marquis.

Actually, I've seen 2 or 3 Mercury Marquis running around my town, and we only have about 35, 000 people here.

I do so love the big American cars, I drive a 92 Crown Victoria, I remember growing up in the 60's and 70's and we always had big boats, can't beat the ride, In southern Ontarible back then so the body's would rust out in less than 10 years, however they were a dream to drive. so nice!

Wonder why there weren't any Plymouth Sapporos, Pontiac Astres, or Mitsubishi Starions at this event?
Oh yeah, already extinct and forgotten

I’d love to see a video on extinct cars (or rather cars that are believed to be entirely gone).

If Mercury is threatened, then so must be Oldsmobile and Plymouth, which went out of production several years before Mercury. Pontiac and Saturn are also getting increasingly rare, since they went out of production the same year as the Mercury (2010).

The Isuzu impulse was sold in Canada with "Lotus suspension" in 1990, 1991 and 1993. I owned one.

My 1991 Isuzu Impulse had Lotus handling. Heaven help you at brake replacement/repair time! DOHC made it very quick.

Maybe all the Grand Marquis' are in Florida; which doesn't really change the premise. I wonder what happened to all the BMW 1600's, I drive one but I never see any and no one seems to see mine.

I find this to be a very interesting topic and there isn't much that I can find online about the subject besides Hagerty's occasional list. I have a 1984 Honda CRX, and I would say that the first generation CRX ('84 - '87) is threatened. Also, I find it interesting that some vehicles that are almost extinct here are common in other countries. For example, the Yugo is still very common in Serbia, and the Chevy Sprint, which is an extremely rare sight here, is very common in Colombia.
