It is always a compliment when other companies try to compete with you.

In 1979 while in the Air Force, a mechanic friend had his 1967 Mustang with a 289, bored to receive racing pistons. He took me for a ride in it after he finished the upgrade. That was the first time I had ever been in a car with that much power, and I will never forget it.

Great content as usual. Is anybody else thrown back by the sales volume? They didn't make tens a thousand a year, they made hundreds a thousand a year! This is when the American auto market was great.

In 1976 I bought my first car. It was my 1968 Mustang Coup. Loved that car. Drove it for the next 20 years. Wish I still had her. Still my favorite car of all time. Thanks for the video and the memories.

This is the car that made me a car guy as a kid. The 67 - 68 body style is still my favorite of all the Mustang's line up. Plus both of us were introduced to the world in 1964... 😆

In 1977 I got a pristine white 6-cylinder manual '67 coupe, slapped a Pioneer Supertuner and Jensen speakers in it, and had the time of my life. Loved that car.

Best looking ford I ever had a 67 mustang Red with black interior, I paid $1, 000 for it in 72. Those were the days! Gas was like 30 cents a gallon. Of course, you were lucky to make $5 an hour.

The '68 will always be my favorite. As a kid I spent countless hours rebuilding a '68 with my brother in law. In 1980 we took two '68 Mustangs and built one. We still ended up pulling a transmission from a Cougar to complete the rebuild. My brother in law has since passed away but the memories of that car live on.

My first car a ‘67 289 4 spd 200 HP code C. I got it at 17 years old in 1969. It was very light with only the am radio option so it was pretty quick beating many 327 351’s and even 383’s in the stop light drag that it probably shouldn’t have. Had it until 1983. Loved that car.

Those rally wheels were epic. Had them on a 66 GT coupe I owned.
