How to prime the oil pump. Remember to clean out the oil pump screen before installing on engine. This is a new oil pump that came with the Ford factory remanufactured 300 straight six engine. The oil pan is original and had bits of metal from an engine which had a piston that sucked in a valve. That engine was replaced by a junkyard engine from a 1976 300 IL6. The junkyard engine lasted 30 years. I found chunks of metal and plastic in the screen and oil pan from the piston incident.
