Everytime I see the Vista/7 UI, it feels like it is the most consistent UI in Windows. That design language peaked in 7, everything just felt in place with the aero theme.

Windows 10, it works but man, consistency ain't its strength.

vista was my gateway to social media. i remember when my father got a me celeron laptop with vista on it used to play soo many games on it :)

It's especially interesting when you consider that by them charging the same price, Microsoft actually lost more money on this edition vs normal Ultimate for the sake of charity since each copy had to include that extra disc which should add a bit more to the manufacturing costs.

Please try installing and trying modern applications on the windows shorthorn project. It is a modified version of Windows XP that has compatibility with most of the newer applications and has Directx 11 Support.

Very interesting stuff. I know people hated Vista for various reason, but when I experienced Vista, i had a brand new laptop. I wished I had known about Product Red, the nerd in me would have went on the hunt to get it back in the day.

I actually had a machine running with windows vista product red. At my dads works we were upgrading the desktops and my dad brought one home and it ran vista red. It now lives in my crawl space
