Hi, going off the expander topic…

I’m getting a herbst appliance and was wondering why my mouth had to be expanded first. I don’t have a cross bite which was why I’m confused.

I have question so my orthodontist told me I needed to have 4 teeth removed because my teeth are crowned I also don’t think my tooth are that crowded, but I'm really worried about my face and my lips changing. I don’t know what to do. Do you have advice?

I never got expanders like this. I had a quad on top and a crozat on the bottom.
