Applications of Bearings 1 [Common Types]

Показать описание
In this video, we will explore the four primary common bearing types. First, we'll rate each bearing's ability to handle radial, axial, combined, and moment loads. Then, we'll illustrate the construction of a bearing, followed by a brief overview of the applications for each bearing type. Next, we'll evaluate each bearing based on several selection parameters, including cost-effectiveness, noise/vibration levels, rotational accuracy, reliability, compactness, and low friction torque. Finally, we'll provide a detailed application example for each bearing type, highlighting their specific uses.

We will cover the following bearing types:
1. Deep groove ball bearing
2. Cylindrical roller bearing
3. Tapered roller bearing
4. Spherical roller bearing

The application we will cover for each of the bearings will be as the following:
1. Electric motor (Deep groove ball bearing)
2. Truck rear drive axle (Cylindrical roller bearing)
3. Truck wheel hub (Tapered roller bearing)
4. Gear speed reducer [Gearbox] (Tapered roller bearing)
5. Train axle box (Spherical roller bearing)

Fantastic job. I have spent days to learn bearing types during college. This is much more effective.

I must say it's a very good video about bearings.
After I've seen this video I ordered 2 ball bearings. 6000 2Z branded SKF to be exact.
Size; 26x10x8. I use them on my bicycle trailer. This trailer is equiped with a single 16" inch wheel.
I don't hear any sound when I spin the wheel. And when I ride on my bike pulling the trailer I feel no resistance. I can go up to 30 km/h with ease.
