For the first shot and also considering that its beta I think it's very much okay. Don't forget that u are comparing a finished product that has been in development for many years to the one that is still in development. Huawei is on track and it's good its upping the competition

Great review. For a beta product, Peta Maps is on the right track. Seems there were focusing on a solid framework first and bell and whistles will be added later.

Giving the fact that PetalMaps is in the begging, ang Google Maps had lots of years to improve, PetalMaps is really good in my opinion. Huawei will improve it with time. Good for Huawei! 💯 📱👑

For navigation, I prefer to use Petal Maps rather than Google Maps. However for review of a particular place, I still prefer Google over Petal

Thanks for the interesting comparison. Much more important than accessing data from Wikipedia (which one can do perfectly fine via a browser) is how the apps behave when they are offline. One does not always have data reception and as a matter of fact, I don't use mobile data at all. Google maps supports offline maps, but often goes blank even though the map hasn't expired yet. I'm wondering how Petal Maps and Magic Earth are doing in that regard.

I enjoy using pedal map here in the United States by changing my wall ways region I didn't care for too much Google bus on Google side if there's too many things I just wanted to keep it simple pedal map is using under TomTom and other things I just wish there was a way for it to work in the United States even if I own a Huawei P30 Pro

because the petal was very new our current smartphone still no the BeiDou Navigation Satellite System (BDS) is a Chinese satellite navigation system on my phone so it just matter of time when volunteer upload latest nearest restaurant or any shop, location in earlier of time remember i was use iPhone 4s at that time only iOS have map and maps so accumulate to address individual location and today dominant by google map taken over iOS so this new awesome lovely giant huawei petal map will be replace google map for sure because i know the future and i was a fung sui master you know ~^^"

Thank you for this! little question which app do you perfer to avoid traffic jams or roadworks? I assume that Google maps & Magic Earth do quite well on those occasions. Cheers!

If you were a none biased person doing this comparison the only that I noticed is that your Basically Leaning towards Google maps but you forgot to mention that as Huawei is using Baidu satellites and the whole world knows that Baidu is Decades Ahead of GPS, so as Petal Maps is just a Beta version I'm sure Huawei will do a much better job than Google maps the Min reason as everyone knows that Google keeps Snooping on your privacy and it tracks your every move whereas as Petal maps is A REAL AUTHENTIC PRODUCT WITH TIME GOOGLE MAPS IS GONNA BE HISTORY
