Показать описание
Add any font to Figma. Works on both the desktop app and in the browser.

Figma comes with a large Google font library but you may want to use a custom font. To add a custom font to the desktop version simply download and install the font to your machine. For the browser version of Figma you will need to download the font installer (linked below) to your machine. Thats it, now you can use your custom fonts in your UI designs.

To install your newly downloaded font(s) (after you installed Figma's font installer), open your downloaded font file (by double clicking each individual file) and there a page with a font demonstration should pop up on screen. Click the "install" button in the top left to eventually install it in Figma.

After you click "install" for each font file that you have, reload Figma and you should be able to see your font in Figma under the "installed by you" category that was mentioned in the video.

My new fonts are only available in a new File. How do I get them in the file I've already been working on?? I feel like that's where most people would need it

What do you mean "just install it into your machine???" How do you do that. You seemed to highlight the fonts and then hit a shortcut. I dont know what you did!

There's no fonts listed in my Figma. I know I have fonts in my Font Book on my Mac. I downloaded the Figma add Fonts to my Macbook but under "Text" on the right of the Figma board there's no visible list. I hit Browse library and nothing came in the library 😕

This did not work at all. The app was a complete waste of time unfortunately.

For this video to have over 100K views, it shows how bad companies these days are getting at designing their apps and how even worse off their documentation is. For something as simple as changing fonts it is a real catastrophe and probably early signs of it's end.
