My father slugged me except I never got an apology. He was a WWII vet with serious anger issues . As I got older I was able to understand he had PTSD but his generation weren’t aware of things like that. I learned to forgive him and he mellowed in his later years especially after he retired.
It’s not worth holding grudges of the past .

Reminds me of when I was 14, my mom called me a son of a bitch...since Im her son, I pointed out what that made her. She immediately kicked me in the chest, I went flyin backwards down a flight of stairs. My mom might be short, but she is not to be fucked with. That was back in '08, I aint called her that since. Im also rockin a 2-1 record in fist fights with her husband, all of which took place around that same time. Now Im grown and hes easily one of my best friends. These days I go over there to hang out with him more than to see my mom.
