Sadly, I was unable to complete this episode. For some reason, phase 4 of the radiation scan wigged out on me making it virtually impossible to even get one point. I'm going to wait until this episode is less buggy before retrying.

This Episode was Really Good, When does the Next One Come out?

How interesting! A Tholian who is friendly and knew the crew of the Enterprise from the Original series.

As for the ending, who or what contacted that Lukari ship since they are now stuck in another universe? Are they friend or foe?

Edit: Deep Space Nine did mention Tholians a few times that were friendly compared to the others that the Federation have met. Kasidy Yates mentioned she was meeting a Tholian freighter captain to deliver medical supplies to treat a viral infection on one of the Tholian colonies. Captain Sisko got a scarf made of Tholian silk for Kasidy Yates from the Tholian Ambassador. Apparently, it was because the Tholian ambassador owed him a favor. ( Perhaps Sisko saved the Tholian ambassador's life.)

The show mentioned at least three more Tholian ambassadors in Deep Space Nine. One that apparently visited the station for diplomatic reasons and had a room specially made for him, but the station's staff had a hard time making the room for him because they said the room was starting to melt due to the temperature that Tholians have to survive in. (This might be the same ambassador who gave Sisko the scarf.)

There was a Tholian ambassador who was killed during the bombing on Earth when there was a conference between Federation and Romulan diplomats and other alien diplomats. Another one was killed when the Breen attacked Earth during the Dominion War.

The Tholians were mentioned a lot in Deep Space Nine but were never shown. There was apparently a deleted scene that involved the Tholian ambassador getting upset that someone stole three cases of latinum that was meant for a dowry for his wedding. Garak apparently had a line that mentioned the ambassador positively remarked on how Garak used some of the Tholian silk at his tailor shop when he talks to Bashir in the episode Season 4 episode 10 "Our Man Bashir".
