I don’t understand what people have against this version, it’s my favourite version, I love the grittiness of johns voice and the rawness of everything, the tempo is really nice too, when I listen to the studio recording it ends up sounding too slow lol

Guitar groups are on their way out, though.

You know what's missing from this? Ringo's drumming

Paul's bass playing is the hottest thing ever. 🥵 😍

You can really hear their voices sound a bit off. It was a really strict winter and inside the studio was very cold as well

Rough and ready . The adrenaline must have been pumping John is singing for his life here . So glad they re-recorded this. although this is a fascinating document of his drive

Pete isn't as bad as I thought he would be, but he is no Ringo

The Please Please Me version is better, but the definitive Money version is the one the Plastic Ono Band did on Live Peace in Toronto.

This song only works live imo it’s such an underrated Beatles cover

I echo Robert Goldman’s sentiment, when I say the Beatles and specifically Lennon could’ve been the toughest hard rock band of the 60’s if they’d kept this style, which is better indication of who they actually were anyway. They definitely cleaned up they’re image thanks to Epstein and the times in general. It worked out well either way, but the Beatles as basically a punk band would’ve made them a lot happier in the long run as they always regretted becoming a teen pop band

John really screwed up on the vocals on this one. 0:42 Pretty bad.

Why was this was recorded slightly sped up?

Lousy version of the song. The cowboy guitar is goofy and John sounds hoarse. With The Beatles does it better.
