Omg! I felt this on so many levels. I’m currently struggling with one of mine. Let’s just say, the love is fading fast. Lol

I just love mine. I got a collection of 17 different ones now and some started blooming this season 😍 everyone is growing happily, no pests whatsoever and no brown leaves 😍

I currently have 13 Calatheas (out of 74 plants total) that are doing wonderfully, oldest is an oppenheimiana, or never never plant, has been with me for about 5 years and is absolutely massive! I’ve only ever had one Calathea die on me, I’ve never really struggled with them or understood the warnings. I think something that helps is that I water them with my old fish tank water when I do a water change, so it is all dechlorinated and mildly fertilising! I’ve not had any problems with them since doing this!

LOL!! I love your channel!!! I am in love with my velvet jungle, and all she wants is water. No extra humidity, just water every other day or so.

It's been nearly 3 years now.. and both of the trio are still there 😂. North facing window sill, rain water and always moist. No humidifier nor misting anymore (except over 30°C). The switch of water was miraculous for the browning leaves.

I remember when I bought a Calathea on a Dutch webshop and it specifically was categorised as an easy plant to take care off. I like to open the window often in my freezing country and probably 6-12 months later it was fully dead despite my efforts to sometimes put it in the bathroom for extra moisture. Still sad about it. That shop should have never classified it as an easy plant to take off when it's low foliage, highly tropical and in need of so much moisture.

It’s been 8 months now since Clea (my calathea) and I met and we are still so madly in love! She was my first plant ever and everyone told me she would be the worst plant to start with as a beginner, but she has been thriving ever since

I love this. My calethea is the only plant I had that thrived, died, got cut down to nothingness only to spring back and thrive again. And then poof. Died and left me with just one singular propagation 😅

I never had a plant before, now I have like 70 of them. But 3 months back the very first couple of plants I got was caletheas. I have 5 different ones now. They all are extremely happy & thriving. I repotted, I moved them around. They are doing great! Never for a moment I thought caletheas are heard to care off.

Lmao I’ve never had issues with calatheas however alocasias have given me severe trauma. They always die just to resurface when I bring them home

I’ve found Calathea are easy to grow, if I keep them in a low-light Terrarium environment. They don’t seem to require much light just a lot of humidity. I’m currently trying to figure out a way to accommodate the varieties that grow really tall.

I love my calatheas and everytime I look at them, they bring me so much joy. They get tap water, a bit of evening sun, have around 45-60% humidity and are doing so well. They never had any pests.
I love plants that I can fuss about. I kill zizi plants and pothos regularly though, they just don't want my love 😂

Lol I was in line at HD about to pay for my Ficus Shivereana and in front of me was a couple with a fern, croton and two caletheas. The guy asked the cashier about returns, she said that he can return plants with his receipt and he has a year. I said to them, You will return those in a month. He said, you think so. I said, Oh I know so!

I had 18 varieties at one time I was obsessed. They thrived but when we moved I had to downgrade. My longest survivor is a rattlesnake calathea but my favorite are zebrina. I've killed 3 white fusions haha.

My calathea orbifolia bloomed this July. 💯💶💯💶💯💶💯 I understand its almost impossible under indoor conditions in the house.
