I got free tickets to see this movie and you couldn't pay me to watch it again. I actually love Coppola, and the cast is topnotch, but this is without question the absolute worst movie I have ever seen in my entire life. No, I'm not some schmoe who's into the 13th Fast & Furious movie, or Transformers, or one of the 17 Marvel Movies out this year. I love The Godfather, Apocalypse Now, A Clockwork Orange, The Shawshank Redemption, etc.

I actually went into this movie with a "there's no way the bad reviews are accurate, I love 'weird' movies, and people probably just didn't get it" attitude and I just couldn't believe how bad it was.

About halfway through the movie most people had walked out of the theater. By the time it was finished it was just me and some other dude left. I thought MAYBE it can somewhat redeem itself from this absolute trainwreck with some spectacular ending, but no, it was just utterly ridiculous right to the very end.

I think this is definitely a movie that’s more about the journey than the destination. The plot is relatively predictable, the metaphors/themes (though worthwhile to contemplate) are quite obvious and repeated over and over again. The film gets downright weird/psychedelic at multiple points, but is still always captivating (sort of like a David Lynch movie in that way).

It is less about plot and more about making you contemplate its themes about society, the human condition, etc. I thought the directing, performances, visuals, music, etc. were all top notch though, so it is definitely a very watchable experience even though the plot really didn’t surprise me at all.

I think general audiences probably won’t really care for it, but if you are a lover of the art of cinema, it has more to like than to dislike and is definitely worth at least one viewing. I give it a generous 7/10.

I just can't believe Coppola thought he was making some glorious masterpiece when he was really making a parody. There are certainly way worst epically bad movies because a director waa too far up his backside (exhibit A: CATS) but rarely where they self fund their own disasters as well.

This thing will be mocked for years to come. What was Coppola thinking???

The trailer I’ve seen over and over at the movies and I have to say I’m intrigued I am a fan of film and I guess all medium of entertainment so good bad indifferent if something looks like it might pop off I’m game this looks visually great so to hear the cgi is bad at times is really interesting I wouldn’t expect that
