The dodecahedrons mentioned around 3:07 were found to be used as a weaving tool for fabrics. The wax was likely for fibrous materials as the way of keeping fibers and fabrics weatherproof back then was bees wax.

I actually have a damascus steel knife I forged with a master smith. The guy won forged n fire and took home the prize and now does classes. It took 2 8 hour days to forge. The first day we forged a bar of Damascus and the second forged and ground it into a blade and made then attached a handle. It is probably one of my favorite possessions.

The Delhi pillar was made by stacking iron disks on top of each other and cold-welding them together with hammers. There is no outside heat in this process, and it takes a very, very long time. Once the column was made it was inscribed and placed where it stands to this day. I heard this theory from a professor from Delhi back in the 70s and it has always seemed to be the most reasonable explanation.
Can't really say much about the other stuff, it's cool though.

#18 The dodecahedron is actually an ancient method of lucet weaving. These were used to make gloves and cords depending upon how many holes were used. Just like little girls knitting noddies!

A part of the scientific paper I needed to write in school was about the antikythera mechanism. It's truly fascinating how this thing was built so long ago

The wootz steel was produced in India and was lost because of the industrial revolution in Britain.
When the British started bringing in cheaper factory made steel from Britain, blacksmiths in India started using that to make weapons. The most famous example of wootz steel is Tipu Sultan's sword which is kept in a British museum

We got to give our ancient ancestors more credit as they knew what they were doing and pretty advanced/smart for their time!Their methods may have been lost to the sands of time but human ingenuity survived and we became better

This video makes me think of alchemy. Not like magic but mixing elements. Our ancestors made some amazing things.

It's sad how people jump to Aliens instead of realizing we just don't give our ancestors the credit they deserve.
