Think of the amount of energy that would be required for the calories required in order to do this type of work for 80 days. Could you grow enough of your own food to sustain this type of work load for yourself year round? Now, multiply that times the population. The use of fossil fuels is not all bad. Maybe rethink your demands of fresh avocados in the middle of winter in the northern states.
