In Bhagavad Gita 10.23, Sripad Adi Sankaracharya have himself said that among Rudras, Lord Krsna is Lord Shiv confirming Lord Krsna to be Parambrahman.

We don't have to study Shiv Puran to know about Lord Shiv as Sripad Adi Sankaracharya have himself taken responsibility to tell that Lord Krsna is Parambrahman who is also Lord Shiv among Rudras and one who doesn't accept this statement is again saying things against Sripad Adi Sankaracharya which is common among neo Advaitians nowadays!

In bhagwat gita chapter 11 ....sloka 8 krishna gives arjuna the divine eyes/oppulence to show his cosmic form...again he says in other slokas that even by studying vedas or performing severe austerities he cant be seen in this form but by pure devotion....and he gives the process...
He who does all actions for Me, who looks upon Me as the Supreme, who is devoted toMe, who is free from attachment, who bears enmity towards no creature, he comes to Me, OArjuna

So nowhere he is talking about our inner soul...he is not talking about thinking of the inner soul also...he clearly talks about thinking about him(sri krishna) as supreme....so there is no vedic process of seeing him but only by the bhakti process he mentioned...

He also talks about not worshipping other demigods...

Sri krishna also tells

Whosoever at the end leaves the body, thinking of any being, to that being only does hego, O son of Kunti (Arjuna), because of his constant thought of that being!

So if a person thinks only of his soul where does he go

And finally, sri krishna says:

But verily there exists, higher than the unmanifested, another unmanifested Eternal whois not destroyed when all beings are destroyed

So here also he clearly tells he is higher than the

What is called the Unmanifested and the Imperishable, That they say is the highest goal(path). They who reach It do not return (to this cycle of births and deaths). That is My highest abode(place or state).

That highest Purusha, O Arjuna, is attainable by unswerving devotion to Him alonewithin whom all beings dwell and by whom all this is pervaded.
