Worked as a cake decorator for a supermarket, (we don't get paid extra, and we have tons of other things to do in a day), stop bringing Pinterest images from bakeries, and expecting the same for minimum wage...we did our best from a picture!

In my marine biology class, we learned about beta fish. Apparently, in nature, they live in flood planes. Most of the time, they're in a small puddle of water until the land floods from heavy rain. HOWEVER it is still a lot healthier for them to be in an actual fish tank instead of a little cup with just enough water to keep them alive. If they were put into tanks with other fish (one beta per tank) they would need to be fish that were different enough for them to be compatible with and not try to attack.
Another issue with the cup set-up is...stores basically only sell male beta fish and the cups being together with no divider really stresses them out because they're aggressive towards other male beta fish.

8:02 That's absolutely wild. My nearest WALMART used to sell pet fish (they don't anymore) and those fish were in tanks.

5:56 The eggs aren’t bad, they’re just over cooked to high hell. My mom used to cook eggs like this to take to work. When you overcook it, the yolk turns green on the outside.

5:44 That egg is not bad, it was just cooked several hours beforehand.
I know this because the school lunches we had were cooked by a company that wasn't even in our town to be delivered to us and the food was always slightly stale as a result. The eggs always looked like that.

7:56 - I used to work at Petco, and felt SO horribly for the bettas, man. They arrive in a big box full of EVEN SMALLER little sealed bags that are pretty much bright blue with chemicals to keep them alive during their extremely stressful trip. You have to cut the bag open ASAP and pour them out into a slightly larger cup to be displayed in. Their water has to be changed twice a day, but because 2-3 associates and a manager man the entire store, a lot of times the bettas are forgotten and their cups fill with poop. Because they're so territorial, you can't put them in a tank together like you would with other fish because they'll fight to the death. For a while, we sold little baby bettas, and although they surprisingly lasted the trip and display, people don't know how hard it is to raise fries, and they'd die and kids would come back 2-3 days later for a free replacement fry. Also, 90% of them were pink females.

6:00 that's perfectly normal: if egg are boiled too much the yolk turns green, but it's perfectly safe to eat

the name of the subreddit should be r/reality because I refuse to believe there are still people having those expectations

The black or green color on the eggs at 6:00 just means the egg was over boiled. It happens all the time. Now if it’s super smelly, I’d say it went bad.

And commenting again - someone just found a whole box full of live bettas in a petsmart (I think) dumpster. But really, if they look like that they're not going to sell and then they just throw them in the trash in their little containers. Poor fish.

The ones they found seemingly never even made it into the store as they were in blue water (some almost had no water left). 😟

5:32 From what I learned on Wikipedia, “Salchipapas” is a type of South American street food made by putting pan-seared, thinly-sliced sausages on top of French fries. “Salchicha” means “sausage, ” and “papas fritas” means “French fries” in Spanish.

We raised betas we bought from petsmart back when I was a kid; think my mom felt bad for them. Had a small bookcase where we put them in actual beta tanks that are at least three times the size of those plastic containers they sold them in. I remember it was a full night to move every one of them between tanks when cleaning them. I had to help cause the guys love to jump between water sources so every so often one would try to jump into the sink if you were not careful

The betta one makes me sad. Bettas need warm water and 5 gallons at the bare minimum

To be fair, as someone who loves the pizzas from Panera, that is NOT how they look normally, that is just someone who doesn't care

I can finally relate to this subreddit. The other day I ordered a menu from McDonald's, with a cheeseburger on the side, like the fat man that I am, and when I took a bite of the cheeseburger, I noticed a lack of taste. I opened it, and there wasn't a patty

Oh yeah, the Dr Oetker Ristaurante range of frozen pizzas are really really good. They once had one I really loved that had a sourdough base, and another I can't find anymore that was a chicken and spinach topped one. Not bad for a 5-6 bucks and a 15 mins in the oven.
