The 540 was a bigger deal because he did it switch man. Jake Brown did an ollie 720 but it was in his normal stance (which is still incredible). Bob Burnquist rides regular but he performed the trick in goofy, making it so much harder to land. Learning switch tricks is like trying to write with your opposite hand haha. You get me?

Yeah you're right. I guess the 540 being a switch trick just rates higher :) Either way both skaters are insane and incredible to watch. Keen for the next X GAMES!

Jake Brown was the first person to land it.

It's special because they're probably insanely hard to do.

What annoys me about Bob is that he has won the past 2-3 years Big Air by landing the same trick. Switch 180 ollie and backside 360 on the half pipe.

Coming in switch at that speed is nuts!

Same? That's the first time they seen him land a switch BS 540 at X Games. Also, seeing it live is way different than seeing it on TV or Youtube

Would the switch 540 be better than the 720 from jake

Sick stuff... the only thing is X games keeps having the same comps in different locations with the same athletes... I wish they only let the athlete compete once in one location... gets a little repetitive I think.. or maybe its just me. This way more people could win. Instead of one dominating always...

I think the whole switch riding is a bit overrated. I know it's difficult but if you have ever tried to do it long enough it becomes almost normal. It's more in your head than anything else. Furthermore for some people there is no real good side/foot/hand, they can naturally do things both sides. So the judges don't really know how difficult it is to ride switch for a guy like P-Rod for example... only he knows.
