I am sooo stoked that Aras is now working on improving Blender. For everybody who doesn’t know him: He was for years one of the developers of Unity game engine and has been with the company since the early days until just recently. He is just a really awesome developer and on the forums and conventions always seemed like a very nice guy.

That sound at the start of the video takes me back to when I was 14 and got a PS1 and hearin the startup sound after it's powered on is so fun!

I love workspaces so much! This is awesome update! I hope viewport camera will save world position in each scene now - it's making me mad when switching scenes and need to move camera for kilometers because there is single viewport data for all scenes.

I'd love to see native step file import with proper quad generation to import files from other CAD Software while maintaining the ability to modify the resulting mesh :)

So. now we have Apple silicon, NVidia, AMD and Intel. So any software (Blender included) that wants to do performant GPGPU acceleration, will have to maintain, Metal, Cuda, HIP and oneAPI to support it on all platforms and hardware. Four API's, this is crazy... Why did OpenCL have to fail. And hopefully future versions of Vulkan (or some other truly unified API) will become capable to do this efficiently for all platforms

Blender is getting better and better and so many more people are moving over. There are things that really baffle me about the interface. I suspect it depends on what you are used to. One thing I never understood is if you select an object in the main 3d space why wouldn't it jump to the selected object in the right tree and get it into focus? You have to press . for it to happen. Is there another way for it to automaticlly select? This was one of those aspects in the interface where I thought why on earth would that not select things like that which make me think huh....but yeh Blender is coming on now....I hope VR is going to feature even more.

41:36 now my eyes DO hurt -- hate dark mode! I don't like having my pupils dilated all the time. It makes things very hard for me to read, and it's been proven it's *not* better for your eyes, at least not for everyone.

Seria maravilhoso ter NODE PAINT, acho que so precisaria de lampadas com texturas, pontos de luz, mascaras para lampas e pontos de luz, vertexColor, o mesmo sistema de denoise, mapas de Normal Map, Displacement, Curvature, Ambiente Oclusion, profundidade, Bake Layer o ideal seria vazer o bake para adionar novas camadas.

fix your (.obj) export texture uv's, they do not match, render image is not the same as the editor texture view
