Comparing Neo to Avata is good and bad.
Good comparison for folks who want to grow with the drone - from newb to pro.
Bad comparison for folks who just want to try some "drone stuff", quick vacation shots etc.

Bottomline, if you are concerned about quality, performance and want the best ROI - It's avata
If you just want to compact drone for casual fun, then it's Neo.

The avata 2 cannot be flown everywhere due to legal weight restrictions. The neo can be flown virtually anywhere.

There is a simple solution to choosing the correct model : buy the Neo for quick, easy, and convenient shots, AND the Avata 2 for more demanding videos. Easy !!! 👍👍👍

Wow talk about perspective! Thank you for this video! It takes a true FPV pilot to weigh in on the DJI Neo. It is a great drone but someone wanting it for FPV should look at the Avata 2. Well said!

The best thing about the NEO is its 199 $ price. If you destroy or lose your drone, it is fairly affordable to replace.

just bought it.. the battery life is bad, when 10% battery is left it autolands and you cant start the drone again. imagine if it lands on a building or a tree :)

Hi, I have just bought the NEO for its portability to add to my kit that includes the Avata 2 and Mavic Air 2. The Avata 2 doesn’t have obstacle avoidance but it does have downward positioning sensors. 😊

I think neo is cheaper to replace compared to avata 2 when you crash.

For the money/valu is no brainer, even if you have Avata 2 then NEO is nice small guy to fly in indoor or in your garden.

I have a Mavic 2 zoom, Mavic 3E, and an Avata 1st gen.
That being said, a drone that I can keep in my pocket at all times and use without any controller, and all those quick shots, still without a controller at all, is very tempting.
I'd be interested in your thoughts.

Small corection the avata 2 has only downward and backward sensors, the are no front sensors to it...

someone who's buying the Neo probably doesn't want the controller and goggles. they just want a basic drone to play with and using their phone as a controller is just fine.
