I remember Playstation made a ps2 add on that made it into its own computer with its own operating system (not windows) sonys attempt to compete with windows. Microsoft was the top dog of computer operating systems so they had nothing to worry about. I think this might be triggering some nightmares for sony because now they're up there at the top and microsoft is doing something to attempt to compete but unlike microsoft which did nothing when sony tried to compete with windows but now sony is running around like kids being hypocrites and trying to sabotage because its happeningto them. When you thought the person at the bottom would do anything to get to the top. the person close to the top tries anything to keep those below them without out remores for who they affect (The consumers PS/Xbox) at the end of the day what can I say money is making Playstation do some crazy things.
