It's an upset for sure, but I don't think the world no. 25 beating the no. 3 is really an incredible upset. Especially not in women's tennis where there is much less consistency amongst the top players than there is in the men's.

But Serena was an extremely short favourite to win the tournament. And in this match she was an unbackable favourite. Definitely an incredible upset however I don't see it happening if Serena wasn't injured.
