The Fiat 500L is a four door front wheel drive car, and we guess it will be cheaper than the Paceman. But yes they sort of compete, and yes we will be reviewing the 500L as soon as we can get our hands on one.

I understand if you think this car fills a segment with no real competition (or a segment with no consumers), but don't start pulling comparisons out of your ass. As automotive journalists, I would expect you to draw comparisons that inspire real thought or at least help people looking to buy one of these cars. I understand Nathan trying to rib on how 'fat' this mini is, but its not really that funny, and definitely not helpful.

"Mini" is a fucking BRAND, not a description on how big it is. Its like saying all clothes by Blued that isn't color blue isn't Blued.

I find it interesting how people describe this car, your not the first to compare it wit a evouge, I don’t get this it’s nothing like a evouge, it doesn’t look like a mini as Mini is a Brand and people expect it to look like a Mini, it’s a Paceman made by Mini, not a Mini, I’d compadre it more with a VW Scirocco or Toyota C-HR style car no they are all different but I think so is the Evouge . But how do you compare stuff that is different. I certainly will consider one in a few years but it would have the be the JCW

The car is ok, but BMW really is butchering the Mini name by making cars like this. The clubman raised my eyebrow, but 3200lbs for a car badged as a Mini...just no.

lol no it's not... you can control it yourself and the paddles deliver the minimum amount of time the transmission can shift. Please elaborate because it does not make any sense unless you suck at timing the shifts.

Guys, the Paceman would compete with the upcoming 2014 Fiat 500L, wouldn't it? Same horsepower turbo engine, I think, although the 500L is a four door. I saw your car show video of the 500L. Will you be doing a full review on that car, too?

I agree, 3200 lbs= 1450kgs, my Jaguar weighs 1600 kgs; and my Ford Fiesta small car like this weighs only 1000kgs, this is not only ugly but a heavy car!

The one car that jumps out at me as a more direct competitor is the uglier (my opinion of course) Nissan Juke.
