Thanks for watching! What do you think is the most important tip for someone starting their first garden?

I really do enjoy our videos John. I had my 1.5 acre lawn in North Central Texas hydroseeded earlier this Summer with Bermuda grass and it saw some good results. However, towards the end of the summer the lawn appeared thin and weak. I used synthetic fertilizer three times this year. In an effort to get a soil sample to send to my State Extension office for evaluation (PH, N, P, K, etc..) I learned my soil was hard as a rock....maybe even harder. After a recent rain (1.5" in a 2 day period) I rented an aerator and was able to pull some Some only 1/2" but other areas up to 2 inches. I believe my soil literally baked in the summer sun and hardened. The lawn received plenty of water as it is irrigated. What do you recommend I do to break up this clay pottery type soil that I have???

Hello Mr. John. I am very glad to have found your products and educational videos. Regarding seed starting. I am thinking of using coconut coir and add worm castings on the top of the cells and water from the bottom so that the castings nutrition is slowly carried throughout. Do you have a seed starting suggestion with your products? Thank you in advance.

I am a beginner gardener. I am going to use a raised bed garden. Maybe use square foot gardening. I need to still get the soil. What I’ve seen on other YouTube channels is to purchase soil in bulk from a nursery or some place that has quality soil. I think I’ll need about 2 cubic yards. What do you recommend I use for this much soil?
