This was Samantha's week and also her own song, turned into magic by the wonderful Floor (Samantha's version is wonderful too of course!) . The thing that really shook Samantha with Floor’s performance is how she’s made this an even softer power ballad than the ballad Samantha had already made it. Samantha is classified as a folk singer in the Netherlands (where folk to them is a Joan Baez meets Irene Cara meets Celine Dion meets Lara Fabian). So her singing is fairly clean and something heard on AC or soft rock stations. Floor adding a bit of grit to get the emotions across as well as a harder solo really shook her and made her like this song even better than her own, and she wrote it.

Ahh this song, tears every time 🧡 I lost my mother 10 years ago when I was 30, my 1st child was only months old and she never got to meet my 2nd. As I find myself navigating the same things she excelled at in life and family I find myself asking how she did it and cry that I cant ask her now.
