I watched his whole 2-hour talk and the man is a genius when it comes to Coyote. I chose to go the difficult route and got a Taurus SHO, just my build engine and tranny alone was 20, 000 and I've yet to break into the 10s. But I chose this platform because it's a difficult platform to work with but it sure has been fun, not for my wallet though lol. But I wasn't concerned about the price, just the smile it put on my face, cost is negligible.

1st gen s10 for 500...junkyard ls for 500...good cam and heads for 3k...fuel system for 2k...1k ebay turbo kit...3k on a good 4l60 build and bam 800hp for 10k in something that weights around 3100lb...i know...ive done it

guy doing Midwest drags had a 01 Mustang with stock 4.6 4V, 30psi, ran a best of 8.80 and got 22mpg. Stock heads, stock cams, new rods and pistons. Manual trans, 8.8.

Get oil pump gears too they are worth it

12k buying a BF Falcon with a stock Barra Turbo, 4k in rods, pistons, valve springs, head studs, timing chain, oil pump gears and backing plate. 2k on a fat snail and 1-2k on a tune. Stock ZF 6HP26 with an external trans cooler, or a stock TR6060, and that's 900-1000whp reliably, depending on how far you wanna push each trans. Crazy power from an engine that was produced and sold over 380, 000 times.
