I use and recommend LegalZoom for setting up a corporation; however, there are many others out there with the same capabilities that you may use if you choose to do so.

Forming a LLC is a great way for you to form a for profit business and protect yourself (and the other members) from personal liability. In my opinion it is a little easier to run a LLC versus a corporation if your company will not grow to big large.

Hi how are you...I'm a little confused. what type of corporation are you forming if you're not selecting llc or s corp?? Also did u say you have a link on how to apply for a scorp, because i didn't see one..Also do you have to be a llc before you can form a s corp??

i think this is great....and i went to your website. but what is missing for me is the order in which things need to be done and the filing of taxes (scorp, where i am the owner and only employee) BTW legalzoom is customer care is HORRIBLE. I spent to much time on the ohio web site to try and figure out what i need to do and what taxes i am liable for (just consulting not selling anything) - i can't figure out what i am responsible for. Unemployment taxes? who knows? And what are the ramifications of choosing shares. I believe it has something to with how you will be taxed with distributions you make for your self.
