No auto tune, no way to erase because of a flaw in the recording just pure talent that will always be part of our lives !! So glad I’m a 50’s baby I love almost all music but the 50’s and 60’s and 70’s will be the soundtrack of my youth !!

Jay Black had great voice range. Favorite song is Cara Mia.

May his memory be continued to be remembered for a blessing.

I was born 1960 but as a teenager in the mid to late 1970's l didn't like the music of the Era. I loved the music of the 1950's and 1960's and yes l loved listening to Jay Black and the Americans. Great singer even in his older years. Jay Black will be missed as so many of that Era. Great harmony singers and those groups can't be beat. Keep em playing. Thanks Jay for all the memories, you'll truly be missed!

Jay was one of a kind. They performed for a group of future secretaries. I was part of the future secretaries. I was mere feet away from the stage and Jay. I treasure the memories of that night. What a talent. Jay, you are now part of God's choir. Thanks for all the beautiful music. RIP

It's impossible to stop admiring what this man could do with that incredible voice. Can't tell you or thank you enough for sharing.

Jay is so very special to those of us who loved '60s music. How he and the similarly great Johnny Maestro are not recognized by the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame tells you what a sham it is.

All praise goes to God for his magical voice. And thank you TJ for honoring Jay, and for preserving the greatest era in music hands down.

A ton of personality along with The Voice. Sad to read and just now of David's passing. His enduring voice through the years always gave me hope that my existence would endure. Well....oh well. Love you Jay for the pleasure you've added to my life and so glad I got to see you perform when you were 61and for sharing your gift for so long.

Terrific memorial. As a baby-boomer I can’t fully express the memories and sense of loss that must be felt by many of my contemporaries.as well as myself. Thank you.
