Awesome. This year I harvested 11kg from an 80 ltr black plastic tote. Replanted some into 120 ltr tote (using the 80 ltr for tumeric). Temps here allow me to replant immediately.

All from watching your channel, giving me tons of ideas. Thanks.

I've taken your lead a couple of years ago and now grow ginger and love it. This year I plan to do a better job with freezing and drying for use.

Thanks for your video, Rob Bob. My hubby and I just bought a big honking ginger root with several thumb size rhizomes on it at a country fruit/veggie mart. We have been researching how to grow that. You helped us to get a few ideas. We live in a colder climate than you but will have a crack at growing this beautiful spice.

I've grown ginger in Canberra in a bucket. I've used a store bought rhizome and left the bucket under a rose in partly shade. Plant grew and died back. I pulled the bucket to reuse expecting nothing but it was full of fully developed ginger to my surprise.

Thank you much! I now see everything I did wrong. I’m up top here in 9b with wicked hot summers. I’m going to go back through your video to see when to do things here. Thanks again and stay safe.

So glad to have found your channel! So informative and helpful as I also live in qld and new to growing food in containers. Going to go through all your videos. Also would love to know where you get your grow bags from. Thank you in advance

When you were digging those out the dirt looked very hard/compacted. Do you find the growth is hampered by compacted soil as compared to loose, fluffy soil?

Nice video! Short and informative :) Have you thought about growing gingers hydroponically using mixed substrates of cococoil, clay balls and perlite in kraky method? Thanks!

That is quite the ginger haul. Especially considering that they were growing in a relatively small space. Very impressive. Our seasons are different in the USA. Should I start mine indoors in the beginning of winter to plant out in spring? Or mid-winter?
