Jake, I am so very happy --- really!--- that you got the "new" Hornet! When you and Yammie finished the red Hornet, i wrote him and suggested that he give you the bike as a gift. Obviously, he gave you the shaft instead. But Karma has rolled around, you're doing great with your own channel, and now you have the Unicorn you've always wanted. Hope it turns out to be a great bike for you! All the best, man. Continued success and happiness to you!

Best thing about this bike is the gear changing. No clutch needed. Just put a little pressure on the gear change lever and blip the throttle a little and it shifts buttery smooth! It is absolutely perfect!

Normally don't comment on videos but I can't help myself. Last year I bought a low mileage, completely stock 3003 Honda 919. I bought it because I always wanted one, and based on the great 919 videos on YM. It was in great condition, but needed deep clean and polish to bring it back to looking like new. No dings or dents, just dirty. I have been riding it quite a bit, but ended moving recently and lost garage space. I'm not kidding, I was about ready to list it, and then I saw this video. I was already dreading selling, so this video turned that around. I will really be looking for your updates. Great job with the channel!!!!

I have an 02 919 with a power commander in it,
Very torquey bike, crack open the throttle any gear and it just goes

The bike i wish i had again.... in 93, i had a 1974 kawasaki 3 cylinder, 750, that i put together from 2 bikes that were sitting in a pasture. Had to sell it before I moved to back to Texas. Every time i even see a picture of one i get emotional... i totaly understand the feelings for an old bike! Awesome video!

Love the passion over a motorcycle. We all have that bike that got away, and it's always awesome to see someone get it back into their stable. And to get such a clean example is fantastic. I can't wait to see what you do with it.
Having said that, Dude! You have a van! What's with the Harbor Freight motorcycle carrier?

I owned an '06 599 that I still regret letting go. The handling of that gen bikes was something I've never found again. It was truly telepathic

Bought my 919 new in 06. Still in the garage, 40, 000, and I still love it! 2 dents in the tank and some scrapes and scratches.

This brings me back as well. I had a 2002 asphalt black 919 and I fell in love with that bike... Unless you've owned one it's so hard to explain.

Up until last September when it was stolen, I had the 600 faired version of the Hornet for more or less exactly 20 years. The 600 is the same size as the 900 only the power is slightly less. The 600 handled like it was on rails and with a 4 into 1 pipe with the baffles out, it sounded majestic. The 600 engine was based on the late 90's CBR600 and the 900 was based on a detuned version of the 919 Fireblade. I had the UK version of CB600FS with a fairing and it was Cobalt Blue. Oh how I miss it, I felt alive when I rode

i love the 2000s era naked bikes. they had the round headlights and retro charm of bikes from the 70s with the performance and safety of modern machines. nowadays all naked bikes try to look like an aggressive creature

Dude I got a Honda 919 too like almost two years ago because of the hentai hornet and how you talked about how much you loved your old one on yamie's channel and it's a blue 2003 model (with two keys I know crazy!!). I love that you got this one and hope you enjoy it as much as I am enjoying mine for the past two years! Can't wait to see more content on this baby, way to go Spite!

I’ve had a soft spot for the 919 Honda hornet. It’s a highly slept on bike. Comfortable, composed, and powerful. I used mine as a daily driver.

Summer traffic, winter frost. Rain or shine. You can’t kill these bikes!

I just bought a 02’ 919 as my second bike because of how highly you speak about them.

Which also added to the excitement of this video
