Bald eagle courtship ritual

A male and female bald eagle lock talons and spiral toward the ground on the outskirts of Bangor, Maine. It is a classic courtship ritual for bald eagles. They locked talons directly overhead and then disengaged behind the camera, going in opposite directions afterward.

I just learned about this on "Jimmy Kimmel." They asked people how eagles mate, and one guy described this insane ritual. I thought for sure he had to be kidding. Nope! This is truly amazing and so beautiful! But I also saw on another video that they sometimes plummet to their deaths because they don't let go in time or they get caught on something, like electrical wires. That's why it's called the "death spiral." Very sad! I hope that's a rare occurrence.

Neat. Bumblebees do that mid air. They sound like two magnet stones coming together mid air.
