Reasons:
1. Ali doesn't know how the game works because it's not his childhood
2. Ali is just a kind and wholesome Pakistani man
3. Ali trusted sang-woo because he buys him a noodle that ali cannot afford

I'd put Sae Byeok much higher on the list. She was able to sneak her weapon onto the island, she did very well in the games, and survived North Korea. The only reason she dies was because she UNFAIRLY got wounded by glass from a game that she already won.

Sae-Byeok player 067, is actual very smart she was the top 3 in the first season. She stayed quit and claim, she hid her emotions and probably would have won if not for being killed. 456 Gi Hon tried to save her but she dies die from the glass she was stabed in the neck. She was a smart player who was just trying to care for her little brother. She both had street smarts as a pick pocketed and mently intelligent.

You can’t call any of them dumb, when they’re in desperate need of money and in debt. You think they’re dumb because you don’t feel the stress they do in the show. First of all, 196 didn’t know she would die, Ali isn’t dumb, he’s just “too nice” or whatever you wanna call him. And 222 needs money for her child. Sure, she’s risking herself and her baby, but this would be her last chance. Judging by how everyone else is in debt, she probably is too. How would she provide for the baby and pay off her debts at the same time if she wasn’t able to work because of her pregnancy? Honestly, the list goes on. But nobody in here is dumb. Just desperate for money and survival.
