Which is the exact reason the frontman was able to identify the intruder(aka Jun ho) from reporting the games to the Korean police. Even smart enough to know what bullets and guns that police wield, put tracking devices in oxygen tanks incase of intruders leaving the island, knew about the organ selling operations before the guards figured out he knew, and also has great memory, seen in a episode in S1 where the frontman knew that jun ho messed with his telephone(Frontman puts down his phone in a specific way). You can argue that fact that Sang-woo went to snu but based from the show itself, frontman takes this

People kinda underestimate Gi-hun for his intelligence. Yes, i get that he came off as a dumbass back in S1, but there were moments when his true intelligence (IQ, BIQ and EQ) was shown. For example:-

His method to approach the Dalgona game by licking it made him one of the only few survivors from the umbrella group. His team approach to the games made them survive games like Tug of War and the special night games. You can actually make out his deductive skills for the Glass bridge game, even if he was going to pick the wrong choice. He even managed to outdo Sang-woo with his tricks and strength during the final Squid game.

In S2, he found ways to break into the games once again. He went step by step, first finding the Salesman and so on. He tried to install some methods to track the island’s location. He learnt from Sang-woo’s red light green light method in order to help the others, and his awareness during the night game and his plan to infiltrate the control room would’ve been perfect if 001 wasn’t the frontman
