I just got this game and spent a few hours playing it. Thus far, I absolutely love it; the visuals, the combat, the story (as little as I've yet seen) are all amazing. Definitely worth the purchase.

I've been playing the game for little more than an hour and I already love it to bits. I went into this COMPLETELY blind so everything was a surprise, from the beautiful art style to the gameplay aspects, but what I love most is the story, particularly the dialog. It has a real Lewis Carroll vibe to it, it's simply delightful. There's no part of this game that isn't a pure joy, at least so far, and playing makes me super hype for a possible Prince of Persia game made with this engine x3

Child of Light was produced by Ubisoft Montreal and the music was done by a popular french canadian singer called Béatrice Martin a.k.a Coeur de Pirate (artist name, meaning Pirate's Heart). So much talent here in Quebec :)

When Ubisoft announced this game first, I got instantly hyped. The visuals were stunning back then and it looked like a lot of fun.

Now I have played two hours of that game, and what can I say? It's really well made. The soundtrack is fantastic, the story beautifully written and it makes tons of fun. And it raises the bar for the upcoming UbiArt-based games, especially Valiant Hearts: The Great War.

So far into the game, I would give it a 9/10, but your score is really acceptable, too.
However, this games is, at least for me, a strong candidate for the Game of the Year.

The art style does look incredible and it has the same battle system as the Atelier Iris series. I might have to pick this up at some point.
