Hillman USA All-In-One Universal Hardware Gauge Review

This is a well thought out gauge with a lot of measurements and information from pipe, wire gauge, fastener sizes, nail sizes, angles, etc
This biggest issues is it is plastic and it would be nice if they made a metal version.

Picked up one of these couple days ago at Lowe's for $1.98.

Great tool, just wish they'd make version out of metal! Don't care that it would be more expensive, would just be so much better quality and would last a lot longer.

I have one of these.
Hang it in your workshop in a place that you will remember you have it.
It is useful, not all the time but when you need it, you need it.
Well worth the cheap price

I that thing is great I worked at at a hardware store in my younger years. Great to have in the shop when you have to order hardware or other stuff online.

Great, but you really need to show us how to use it with some real hardware.

I bought this thing about a year ago and hadn't paid much attention to it. That is until a few minutes ago. There is so much information and functionality on it that I came here looking for a guide. Low and behold, this is it. I found it. Thanks so much for putting this together. One question I have is why does the compass start at 1 in instead of zero? Also, the video mentions the other nearby holes as metric something or other but they look to be 1/4" apart to me. They are labeled .5, 1, 1.5. The first hole is not labeled but is circled and I had assumed it to be the center point. Other holes are unlabeled and are located at 2, 3, 4, 5 and 8 along the 8" ruler. The last hole is also the angle function's reference point. I think there is more to this compass than I can decipher.

I would like one of these made by Uri Tuchman.

I thoroughly enjoy all your videos! I would appreciate any input/experience/advice you have in regards to Ares tool brand, specifically their ratchets.

You could roll on the text using acrylic tape and acetone.

I used to have one as well, even recall looking at it a time or two.

But as my dad often said, 'The more _things_ something does, the fewer _things_ it does well'

Someone's trying to sell those for 22 bucks on amazon, it's $2 at lowes though. I always wonder why some stuff is like that on amazon.

I stole one from lowes thinking it was free - OOPS!
