MARA Stock: When Mining Bitcoin Is Not Enough... Largest Bitcoin Miner Adopts MicroStrategy Playbook

Therefore, I don't cover just inexpensive stocks: I also Bitcoin derivative stocks SUCH AS Microstrategy Stock, and today, more especially, marathon or MARA stock. Today, I explore back of the napkin math for MARA stock and whether I like the hybrid strategy between Bitcoin mining and Bitcoin convertible debt issuances (trying to generate BTC yield like MSTR). I was holding several mining stocks for a couple of years and wasn't seeing the growth so I sold all of it in the first quarter of this year and used the proceeds to buy more bitcoin. Looking back I should have bought MSTR but I'm not upset. I did buy MSTR later in a tax deferred account.

"Nation States" getting free access to power. This was my thesis early this year and why I sold all my miner positions and now just own BTC and MSTR. How will publicly traded miners be able to compete with that kind of access to free power? These are the things that keep me up at night...lol
