Interesting scene at LAX on Sunday, October 8th, 2023 as the EL AL Dreamliner received what seemed to be a police escort while taxiing for its flight back to Tel Aviv. 🚓✈️

El Al always gets escorted, there are just more cars now to escort them. They also have 24/7 security over their planes and someone always in a vehicle watching the plane while it’s parked at remote too. They also record the workers in the bag room and do Pat downs if you go to the bathroom and return. The whole ramp operation is also recorded from three angles.

When I worked at JFK in the early ‘90’s it was an everyday thing for El Al to be escorted. Armored vehicles no less. As well as roof top “security” at the terminal. This is just probably more noticeable due to recent event.

Have a safe flight home! EL AL 787 Dreamliners are one of the nicest Dreamliner liveries in my opinion. The retro is also pretty cool. I hope that the conflict ends soon and I am so glad to see LAX helping out and showing its support.

Likely do to the current situation going on in that area. I'm okay with them taking extra precautions like this. Very smart on the airport's part also. My respect to the airport security staff who keeps everyone safe throughout the airport!

I believe all Tel Aviv aircraft are escorted to the runway. Today is normal.

EL AL always get a police escort. Way back in 06' when I worked at LAX. However, nice catch the 787 with the retro livery!!!

At EWR (Newark ) Whenever EL Al is in town two police cars always sit underneath the jet.

Used to be an every day occurrence. LAXPD and a couple pickup trucks with armed Mossad agents. I was kind of surprised they stopped doing it.
