Diodes are a discrete semiconductor device used in many electrical applications including rectifiers, switches, and voltage regulators. A diode is an electronic component with a single PN junction and two terminals that functions like a check valve in that it allows current to flow in one direction and not the other.

hi, i got a solar panel and i want to which diode i need to use for going one direction? what i mean how much Voltage and Ampage should the diode be so it wloudn't burn out and/or go in reverse if i using a 25 watts, 1.33 Amps, 18.8 volts solar panel?

is this diode good to use schottky Diodes & Rectifiers 3.0 Amp 60 Volt 120 Amp IFSM? i try to find 50 volt with 1.5 amps but i can't .. Also how do you read a diode ? for example a diode said " schottky Diodes & Rectifiers 3.0 Amp 60 Volt 120 Amp IFSM, now what are the amps means, meaning it take that much amps to work or does it take up to that much meaning i can use 3 amps and less? now what are the volts means, meaning it take that much volts to work or does it take up to that much meaning i can use 60 volts and less. and now does the 120 amps IFSM means??
