Thanks for the presentation. Yes please continue to other components. Nice to have some history on old parts and uses. I would like to understand better the calculations when using diodes. Voltage loss cut points etc.

I was trying to figure out the exact definition of a diode the other day. It can't be the PN junction because schottkeys don't have a PN junction. And although they probably started out being defined by their ability to rectify current, not all diodes do that, like zeners. So how would you define a diode?
