I really appreciate you giving a complete breakdown how to do it step-by-step this is my first time doing it. Your doing a great job by serving the community and helping others.

I had a very interesting finding that if you chose to deposit your interest monthly into your savings/other account than the CD itself you will get less interest than the advertised 5% since those interest could be spent or withdrew prior to maturity date and won't be compounded monthly. But they don't disclose that when you choose the option.

I just found your channel and had been considering a CD and this pushed me to go ahead and do it. It was very simple to setup. I have worked in IT for over 30 years and Capital One's site is pretty well done. There are some quirks like with choosing a userid though. I plan to check out some more of your channel.

Thanks for this video. Actually have been looking at Capital One CDs. This explains a lot. I was concerned about doing this on line, but It appears to be easy and safe.

Thank you. My problem with CD is that it is Federally and State taxed. What do you suggest would be the most tax sheltered short-term investment.

Great video and glad I discovered your channel! My situation - I retired a few months ago and Social Security doesn't really cover my monthly expenses. I have no investment knowledge and have just kept my money in a checking account (earning .1%). What I would like to do is find a CD like Capital One's and have interest paid out monthly back to my checking account to give a boost to my SS monthly payments. However, I'm concerned that if I do monthly interest - it won't add up to the money I would make if I made it an "Annual" payout at 5.0%. Any thoughts on this?

After the CD purchase procedure is complete, is it possible to go into the CD at a later date and change and or view the previously selected options? Specifically to change the final maturity payout options. Thanks Brian
