Seal Rescued From Plastic Wrapping

Показать описание
A small piece of a plastic wrapper nearly killed a seal. Whoever left this piece of rubbish behind certainly did not consider any harm to an animal. It is hard to imagine that a few grams of single-use plastic could have enough power to cut into a seal's flesh and obstruct its ability to eat and breathe. But here we find ourselves again and again: plastic kills. Ocean rubbish is everywhere, and the consequences of our littering are always worse than expected. As long as single-use plastic is cheap and readily available and plastic rubbish is seen as an unavoidable but acceptable byproduct, no industry will even look into more sustainable choices. 🦭

“We cannot pretend that we didn’t see it” There must be days when it is so difficult for the team to leave the beach for the day, knowing that there must be just one more to be seen and saved. Thanks team for your unending dedication to help these beautiful creatures🦭🌊💙

“We cannot pretend that we didn’t see it” I actually laughed at that. We all know there is no way in hell any of you would leave a seal in distress just because it was difficult. Well done.

Look at the girl go like a rocket! If anyone can pull off an impossible rescue then it would be our terrifically tenacious Tony! Thanks guys.

It must be such a relief when you reach the seals that you think are too far away. Nice sprint, Tony!🦭🏃‍♂️

I have become super conscientious about cutting up any plastic that could possibly be a danger to wildlife after watching this channel.

Antoine!! LOVE the sweet talk to the lil lady!! I TRULY think it makes a difference to the seals. Plus we LOVE to hear the sweet talk with your accent. Too many entanglements seem 'intended' to hurt sea life. When will they learn? Poor lil lady. But she is much better since her guardian angels Wally and Antoine are on the job!! (Did anyone else see the glass bottle next to the tire track? Shame on litterers on that beautiful beach!!)

I loved the view of her swimming away! Pure joy and freedom!
Thank you Tony, Kat and Wally for not 'pretending you didn't see her' (as if...) and getting that bit of cling wrap out of circulation! 🌊 🦭 ✂️ 🌍 💙

I'm always mesmerized by a stretch of sand and water with no people, no buildings and only mother nature to contend with.

0:35 "We saw it so we cannot pretend that we didn't see." I feel blessed that I was taught that when I was just a child. ✌
