Marathon runner Sarah recently underwent double knee replacement at just 39! She joins The Doctors with orthopedic surgeon Dr. Denis Nam to share about her double robotic knee surgery! The average age of joint replacement is 65, but it’s getting younger and younger. Dr. Nam shares that doing a knee replacement is a tough recovery, but Sarah was an ideal candidate for the procedure.

Nope, I was 39 when I had to get a total hip replacement because it came out of place and then gave out and shattered. I had just had a baby 4 weeks prior and I was devastated that I had to be away from my baby😢 I wish I could say that it fixed the problem but it didn’t😞 I have chronic pain in my hip still 8 years later. I’m waiting on a revision right now.
