I always loved the eerie music playing as she recites! I also love how the poem came up several times in the series, with the girls acting out the lily maid, and then Anne teaching the Kingsport class the poem as well!! I love how it's popped up in my own life too, watching Anne throughout my childhood, then hearing the Loreena McKennitt song in high school, then having the gorgeous John Waterhouse print of Lady of Shallot in my first apartment. But it all started with Anne. ❤❤❤

I thought that when i grew up i would be like Dianas Rich aunt, anne once married to gilbert or the ministers wife but turns out i am a mixture of mrs hammond and Anne when forced to work escaping reality with fantasy and fiction.
