This video explains and demonstrates about what is semaphore in RTOS and synchronization patterns of semaphores. I have used keiluvision software with CMSIS rtos using STM32 simulation.
You can import the code from cmsis examples in pack installer in keil. The same is explained in my previous video on "creating and handling threads" & the video link is provided below:
