It's wonderful to know that Japanese wolves are still out there. There is abundant habitats for them as Japan is heavily forested. There also is abundant prey as Japan abounds with wild boar, sika deer, serow, and monkeys.

I saw a strange canine while hiking the woods in the Yatsugatake region of Japan. It looked like a cross between a coyote and a fox. It wasn’t a feral dog. It kept a respectable distance from me but wasn’t overly alarmed by my presence.

Idk why everybody dislikes the narrator. Sure the text gave everything a more eerie vibe, but with the voice over I can just listen to these videos and learn something while I do other stuff.

Edit: not all people of course, but I often see negative comments about the voice over.

Around my area we have a fishercat at the turn of the century a pelt was worth close to year salary so it was endangered now they are plentiful and when they scream at night it sounds like a demon. It can catch a rabbit on ground and squirrel in a tree. It's a very cool animal..

That's definitely not a European wolf, I live in europe and see wolfs nearly every night and they look completely different to this Japanese one. For a start their body hair is alot longer and they are much larger in body shape.

I’d love for a serious effort to be made to find the Tasmanian tiger. I’m sure there are some survivors hiding. I’d like to see a breeding program set up. I’ve always thought they were amazing.
