When you play xcom, you learn that if it's not 100% then it's 50%

Xcom is literally like:
99% shot - miss
12% shotgun shot *critical hit*

Life: "You miss 100% of the shots you don't take."
XCOM: "You miss 99% of the shots, regardless whether or not you take them."

You could literally point the gun so close to the enemy it’s touching their head and still miss somehow.

My favorite is in Xcom 2 when they’re standing a foot away from a 10 ft. tall Berserker and they look like they’ll easily hit their shot but then turn 90 degrees at the waist and blast a tree stump 30 meters the other direction

some people have even missed 100% shots, or atleast 99.5%> so the number would round up

Yup... Xcom's version of the dreaded "Butterfly Effect": When the enemy is right in front of your soldier, they line up to take the shot, a butterfly flies into their peripheral vision, then they shoot at that instead.

During multiple playthough on mobile, the same soldier (which i renamed as myself) missed 4 99% shots, one on a seeker, one on a sectoid, one on a drone and one on a sectopod
