This hasn't been the first time that Degrassi has been fuzzy on the details! In Next Class, devoted fans understood that Goldi and Baaz were siblings because that's what the audition sides told us, but the show didn't commit to it until Season 3. Rasha and Saad were also supposed to be siblings according to the casting information, but that certainly is not the case. They probably wanted to write the Torres off as step-brothers because there's no resemblance like in the case of Sav and Alli, the Coynes, or the Hollingsworths. And the relationship was already solid and they were obviously a better fit than Ashley and Toby as step-siblings.

I hated how Drew went after every girl Adam had a crush on or dated, Bianca, Fiona, Katie and Becky . However Drew and Bianca ended up being one of my OTPS they deserved better and should’ve been endgame . Adam only dated Becky and Drew ended up dating her right after he died that was wrong on so many levels

I figured this out a while back. And I believe Drew's dad married Adam's mom. I say this becajse Drew looks a lot like their father and when their mom was making a big ado about Adam being trans and revealing that to his grandmother. I think the grandmother is Audrey's mom. And it sort of explains Audrey's response to Adam being trans because she struggled seeing her only daughter go. However it is still possible that Audrey is just a stepmom who cares deeply about her stepdaughter to the point where she finds it hard to accept his transgenderism.

Drew may be Audrey's child though because they too look alike. Audrey os equally protective of both making it hard to tell which one is her child. She ought to be given the stepmom of the year trophy for this.

I recently rewatched the episodes but can’t remember which episode specifically but I remember it was during the time frame drew was getting the concussions, drops out of school, & moves out but Drew clearly states that Audra isn’t his mom, during a discussion and I believe it was with Dallas.

If you go on either Adam's or Drew's character profiles it's says they are step brothers and on Drew's profile it says Audra is his step mom

In “My Body Is A Cage” they made it clear that Audra was Adam’s son and Drew is the dad’s bio son

The only reason their family tree confused me at all was because they both have the last name Torres. In most step-family cases, the children don't change their legal names. 

Another potentially logical explanation for this could be that Adam was adopted. Drew could be the biological son to both Audra and Mr. Torres, but for some unnamed reason they couldn't have any further additional children together, despite Audra really wanting a daughter. So they adopt Gracie at the age of 5/6, thus explaining Gracie/Adam meeting Drew at that age and the reason they both have Torres as their legal surname. This could also explain why Adam's transition is so hard for Audra and why she is so emotionally attached to Gracie, when she adopted a daughter for the sake of wanting a daughter.

I always thought Audra was Adams biological mom, and the Dad Dress biological dad. I honestly dont have any evidence to support this lol it's just the vibe I got

That’s not where the phrase “blood is thicker than water” comes from.

It’s a truncated phrase that misses the original point. The original phrase is “the blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb”

Which basically means there are people or ideals that are more important than biological family.

That’s impossible because if you look on the degrassi fandom on drew it says Audra is his stepmom but Adam is just brother and when you go to his father it’s the same thing for drew it just says son like Adam

I thought the same thing about their parents having them through different marriage. I also thought about maybe Adam being adopted. I barely saw the father on the show, but Drew & the Mom seem like they may be Hispanic, and Adam seems to be white. The topic of adoption never came up, but I thought about it.
