I'm Nigerian and I assure you these facts are correct but our politicians are way too corrupt

Hopefully they can keep this out of the grubby politicians hands... Africa has all these resources, yet other countries control them. It's sad

Videos (shorts) like this really highlight how important a basic understanding of economics is.

Me, living off eating casava since I was born: No, you can't convince me it's a superfood.

Cassava chips are delicious. Crunchier than a potato chip and has a slight nutty taste.

As someone with coeliac,
I think cassava is something that is underrated

Of course Nigeria makes less money from exports, as most of that cassava is for domestic consumption.
Comparing Thailand to Nigeria without accounting for that is pointless, especially given Nigerias far larger population

I didn't know cassava was made into sorbitol!

We cassava more than others but we also consume it more than others.
What Nigeria produces is not even enough for Nigeria .

I wonder if other countries, such as “ANIHC” are wedging African Countries out of the market? 1.3B for 1/30th of a yield and 1M for 30times that? Come on son 😡

How the hell can they become highest producer, highest consumer and highest exporter all at once? It's impossible.

How is this even possible? Nigeria produces twice the cassava of Thailand.. but Thailand earns 1, 300X more cash? That's 130, 000% more than Nigeria..

Again, how is this even possible to do so poorly?

I hope it filters down to the normal people 😊

Why Thailand sell less cassava and make more money they have a better agricultural system in place in Nigeria negotiations is the key to making money and don’t sell for less because when you do so the farmers suffer because they’re selling their produce for cheaper prices.

Growing more doesnt mean you can sell more. If the political environment is unstable, no one would risk doing business you.
