The afternoon is grey across most of the country, with the cloud being thick enough to produce some brief spells of drizzle in Wales and Northern Ireland. Meanwhile some sunny skies will be present in northern Scotland and in parts of the southeast of England. The cloud persists into the evening and there may be some rain in places in southwest Scotland - This is the Met Office UK Weather forecast for the afternoon of 05/11/24. Growing up in London it used to be grey and cloudy for sure, i finished secondary school in 2009, fast for ward to 2024 now, i’ve noticed the sun has become more less & less visible, and blue skys have become as rare as the sun too, its relentlessly grey everyday, and its not even clouds, just straight up overcast, the summer was terrible this year too, people have noticed the decline of the sun and more of the constant relentless grey sky, One blue sky a week is what i’m noticing

The weather is stuck. Never ending murk and gloom! Been like it over a week now and no sign of it ending at the moment. Even the temperature is barely moving, been around 10° for three days now. Day and night. 😕

Guy Fawkes bonfire night is only celebrated in England, so no need to mention it on a UK wide broadcast unless you're going to cover other regional outdoor events for Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland
